From the Director's Desk...

The NE Newsletter is up, and contains information for new registrations.

Pay for independents attendance has been raised from 30 to 75 coins.  Remember, Independents do not earn credit for an active QCC house they belong to. It is an either/or proposition.

In order to make room for the Gryphon Tournament, the Classic Challenge race, the Soleil Cup, has been moved to the 22nd.

Next update will be November 1st.

The QCC Would Like to Know - What's On Your Mind?

This Newsletter's Topics- answers earn 10qcoins for each question:

1 - An awards banquet for QCC Racing is being planned for January.  We'd like to come up with several different awards to present, both from the '06 racing year, and standing records since its inception. These could include things like most 1st place finishes in a row, fastest finish times, and more meant-in-fun awards like the Golden Bandage. We'd like your ideas for categories!

2 - The subject of the exhibition only races came up.  An exhibition race is one with 4, 3, or even 2 racers.  It would be held when there are not enough racers going up a rank or down a rank to have a full field of racers.   Earlier this year that was changed to allow the higher ranking racers to race against those who were up to 2 ranks down from them.  In an exhibition race there is no change in Rank or Bonus from the race but standard purses are awarded.  There is also no betting permitted on an exhibition race. One of the inconsistencies encountered when going back over some 6 years of racing is that sometimes races with 4 racers in them were exhibition races and sometimes they were regular races. Should a race with 4 racers in it be considered a regular race or an exhibition race?

ABOUT OUR MAILSTRINGS

QCC Voluntary Mailstring

This mailing list is made up of QCC members who have consented to be on it. The purpose of this list is to allow business announcements and flyers to be sent to those groups and individuals that welcome the information and intend to distribute it to their members. This mailing list does not replace any mailing lists compiled by individual businesses or event hosts from their own patrons and customers.

Being a member of the QCC does not automatically put you on this list! It is by request only. Sign yourself up if you want to receive Voluntary mailings.

Mail List Alert

If you receive mail list alerts for any of the QCC mail lists, please forward them to council@questcoin.com. Sometimes when we are updating the mail lists, an SN gets put back into the signup list. That auto-generates a privacy alert that gets mailed to you. If you'll forward those alerts to the council, we'll know you got it. It was most likely triggered by something we did; but if we didn't do it, we'll certainly want to know. :)

QCC Member Mail List

Any QCC members who wish to be on the QCC Members' Mail List to receive QCC Updates directly from the Council should send a note to council@questcoin.com to be added to the list. This does not take the place of the Voluntary Mail List. Sign-up for the Voluntary Mail List is still self service and you'll find the sign-up page here:  QCC Voluntary Mailstring

**Mail List Notes: We don't care if the addresses on the mail lists are for RP characters or not. If you have AIM characters and you want to put a non-RP address on the mail lists to get the QCC notices, that's fine with us.
