From the Coordinator's Desk...

As you know I am Rae Bonatti, the NE Coordinator for the QCC Racing Commission.  When I took over the NE's, we had just undergone a structure change for the Equine racers that has made their racing much smoother and more manageable for the Commission, and now is the time for that to be done for the NE Racers.

We are suspending the NE races until the end of the year, to resume in February of 2006 under the new format and rules.  I am sure that many of you with NE's in your stable have many questions and I hope that this will cover most if not all.

Your latest vet checks will still be valid for February, and you will not have to recheck them until *after* that racing season.

No animals that are currently registered will be removed or retired, except when requested by the stable owner.

No new NE's may be registered until the changes are in place.

I will be posting the guidelines to both the website and the QCC Message Boards, once they are finished.  Among the topics to be covered in the new guidelines will be acceptable types of racers, limits on registration and race entries and the new ranking system.

If you have any questions, please contact me.
