Please join me in congratulating the owners and trainers of the outstanding racers that have advanced in rank.  Advancing to Rank 9 is Natty Dread of IronStar Stable, and Spooky Magic of the same stable has advanced to Rank 7.  New To Rank 6 is Celtic Lady of Black Prince Racing, Copper of Shadow Guardian Stables, Ebony Prancer of Black Dragon's Honor and Khalili of Desert Winds.  And to Rank 5 is Hail to Reason of Black Prince Racing, Shady Lady of IronStar and Vhezzer of Shadow Guardian Stables.

Next month is the first Claiming Race.  In a claiming race the owner of the horse has attached a price to his racer and another may purchase the horse before the actual race, for that price.  Once a horse is presented to the racing commission as a claiming racer there is no rescinding the offer.  The first bid at the stated price owns the racer.  It is treated as a regular QCC racing transfer and the purchaser pays all the fees.  The existing rules regarding stable growth and transfers apply.  Race 29 in March will be a Claiming Race.  ((For our purposes we will go with time stamped emails.  Send an email to RoseOfMalice who will be acting as coordinator for Claiming Races.)) 

For Added Coin Purses an individual or group donate coins  as additional amounts pay out on a certain race.  An example would be commemorating a special occasion or date.  Simply select the race you'd like to do this for and let us know the specifics.  In February there were two Added Purse Races and there is already one scheduled for March.  If you are interested in sponsoring a race in March, please contact Des Sunhaven-Hayll.

The "Best of the Best" Championship Series runs over the course of one year (or six racing seasons), using cumulative results to determine which racers have performed well enough to race in the Championship Series races. Three times per year, the ten best racers come together to determine just who the "Best of the Best" is. The Contender List below allows Members to follow the Equine Racers who are vying for position in the next race in the Classic Challenge Series.
