There are a couple of new features in this month's Racing News, which we hope you will enjoy.  The first is to the right of this column, the Top 20 Equine Racers.  This list will be updated every season so you can see how the top QCC racers are doing.  

Also new in this update is the listing of the QCC Classic Challenge Contenders.  These racers are the ones who are performing best in the regular seasons and attempting to earn the honor of participating in the next Classic Challenge Series race.  Watch your favorites compete for this privilege!

Race announcers earn §100 per race.  Call it hazard pay, or combat pay if you will... but announcing isn't the easiest thing in the world to do, and we want to give a bonus to those who try it. If you'd like to be trained and added to the announcer's pool, please contact Kyral Laithe VanSandt or Rae N'Alsia.

Most announcers call four races on a night and make 400 coins for an hour of time.

The "Best of the Best" Championship Series runs over the course of one year (or six racing seasons), using cumulative results to determine which racers have performed well enough to race in the Championship Series races.  Three times per year, the ten best racers come together to determine just who the "Best of the Best" is.  The Contender List below allows Members to follow the Equine Racers who are vying for position in the next race in the Classic Challenge Series.

Add §100 for Rank 1 races,

How ties are decided:
Two firsts:
Purses for first and second place added together, then divided equally.

Two seconds:
Purses for 2nd and 3rd place added together, then divided equally.

Two thirds:
Purse is divided equally.
