Please
see new racing guidelines
for updated information.
Registrations and Transfers:
| 1. | New stables are subject to a §1,000 registration fee for up to two racers upon initial registration. Additional racers may be added at the time of initial stable registration at a cost of §200 per racer, up to a maximum of eight racers total for the new stable. Please note that individual members of the QCC can register up to two racers without the necessity of a "stable" to race them through. Once an individual chooses to register a third racer, they must register an actual stable and pay the stable registration fee. The form for registering a new stable is located at: Registration Form. NOTE: For those who are seriously intent on starting a new stable or having individual racers running but cannot afford the registration fees, please contact the Racing Commission directly. We can possibly assist you or offer guidance in this area. |
| 2. | A letter of intent must be submitted to the Racing Commission to begin the sixty day waiting period before a new stable is allowed to officially register. The form for submitting this letter of intent is located at: Letter of Intent Form. |
| 3. | New racers added to an existing stable or registered through an individual QCC member are subject to a §200 registration fee and are exempt from inspection until they participate in their first race. The form for registering additional racers to an existing stable is located at: Registration Form. |
| 4. | Racers being transferred from one existing stable to another stable are subject to a §50 transfer fee and must be inspected by one or the other stable before they can race again. The form for transferring racers between stables and/or owners is located at: Transfer Form. |
| 5. | Information needed for
registering each new racer: Stable name, or owner: Racer[s] name (and type, if non-equine): [Link, if applicable] PLEASE NOTE: Non-Equine racers must fit into the "Running Fast" or "Flying" category. |
| 6. | Forms
to be completed to register/transfer racers:
To submit a letter of intent: Letter of Intent Form. To register a new stable: Registration Form. To register additional racers to an existing stable: Registration Form. Racing and Inspections:
| 1. | Fields will be limited to seven or eight horses, number of races over a bi-monthly event determined by total number of entrants. Races of less than five horses due to rank restrictions will earn purses but no changes to rank/bonus. |
| 2. | Registration deadline will typically be a week or two before race day to allow time to set up the races and betting. |
| 3. | Each individual horse may only race once per event. Events tentatively scheduled for once every two months, with half the racers running in the first month and half in the second month. Non-equine races will always be in the second month of each "season". |
| 4. | Racers
that win, place, or show
are eligible for cumulative bonuses and rankings (i.e. A win gets
the competitor a +2 bonus. A place or show gets the competitor a
+1 bonus. Losing a race gets the competitor a -1 with a maximum
low of -3.) The bonus +/- will be
tallied at the beginning of the race. When the competitors are in
the starting gate, they begin with whatever their bonus tallies
are. A field of four horses could start the race with, for
example: Bonus: -2 0 1 -1 If the announcer rolls 4 3 5 4, the out of gate tally would be: 2 3 6 3. |
| 5. | Racers must be inspected between the racing seasons. Inspection dates and deadlines will be announced with the lineup for the second month's races. The inspection dates will generally begin the Saturday after the races conclude and run for a period not less than two weeks, to allow all owners/managers to get their racers inspected. Stable owners must designate a stable manager (and assistant manager, if desired). The owner, manager and assistant manager are the only people who are authorized to request and participate in an inspection. QCC Registered Vets: TheLdyDES, Saeving Grace, Madje Askavinge, BasVanSandt, Rose of Malice |
| 6. | Stable owner/manager does not have to be present at the races to win. The track announcer will record all the information and send it out afterwards. However, attendance at a minimum of ONE of the six nights of racing over the two month period is required to be eligible to run in the next season's races. Attendance must be stated for the log by the owner/manager upon entering the racing room. To adhere to this policy, the stable owner or manager MUST BE IN ATTENDANCE at least one of the four nights. A proxy is not acceptable, unless listed as a formal representative prior to the races. The only exception to this rule is in the case of a house-owned stable, wherein the leader of the house would be an acceptable representative. The preferred method is: "((Representing STABLENAME))", so that the log keeper can simply search for the word "representing". |
| 7. | Our Racing Commissioner, Des
Sunhaven-Hayll, is
responsible for the following: *Requesting and compiling the list of registered entrants for each race day *Determining the number of races and slotting the entrants for each race day *Compiling and maintaining the ranking for each competitor--to be updated after each race day. *Tracking and maintaining the schedule of races/injuries for each competitor *Determining final 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishes--the majority of the time, the outcome of the races are clear cut and final based on finishing placement. *Setting the purse for the races or race days *Determining entry fees *Determining or administering betting *Making the payouts for races concluded *Determining the frequency of race days *Determining post times *Providing an announcer - announcers can be from any QCC guild or individual business. |
| 8. | Late entries to the Post Lineup will not be permitted at all unless it is by error of the Racing Commission. That determination is the responsibility of the Racing Commissioner and such late entries will be included in the racing lineup in the most feasible manner possible. |
