Vet Inspections:
Race Entry:
| Example: |
Using Nouvelle Aube as my example here, this is how it would play out: NA gets the vet inspection done, with a total of 26 racers. 3 are exempt (new racers), so that leaves 23 racers to be inspected. Total cost will be §115 payable to the vet. The vet inspection gets submitted as usual and looks like this:
STABLE NAME: Nouvelle Aube Now, going by the chart, NA has 21 registered equine racers, which gives NA 12 slots to enter racers. NA has 15 eligible racers (racers who inspected as healthy), comprised of 3 maiden equines and 12 established equines. Since NA only has 12 slots and 15 eligible racers, NA would have to select 3 healthy equine racers to sit out this season. From another perspective, if NA is allotted 12 slots in the coming races, but only 10 racers are healthy, then only those 10 would get the opportunity to run. This method of limiting the races is a fair way to cut back on the number of races without taking away the power of choice from the stable owners. The average percentage of racers per stable that would have to sit out is 25.5%, with only a handful at the upper end of that span. Further, the average percentages fall lower with each injured racer, which drops the number of healthy racers vs. eligible racers. |

Attendance/Stable Representation:
Penalties:
Registration:
Non-Equines:
NE races will be 5-6 racers, with ranks within TWO (i.e., Rank 2 can race from Rank 0 to Rank 4) to keep stables from running multiple racers in the same race as much as possible.
Restrictions on types of NE racers will remain the same, with the Racing Commissioner reserving the right to deny registration to racers who do not fit the "spirit" of NE racing.
Retirement:
A "Hall of Fame" will be designed for racers who reach a certain level of accomplishment (to be determined).
Retired racers will be listed on stable websites (including their record) to give them recognition.
Ownership:
A house may have up to three stables associated with it (either private or house owned).
One stable per individual as manager and/or owner. The only exceptions to this rule will: A) allow stable owners/managers to be listed as a representative of another stable for purposes of attendance; - OR - B) allow an owner of a private stable to manage one House-owned stable as well. Only the stable owner/manager can authorize changes to a stable lineup or conduct vet inspections.
Betting:
House "coffers" or "guild banks" are now banned from betting.
Only individuals are eligible to bet.
Bets will not be allowed on more than two racers per race. Wager slips with bets on more than two racers per race will be void.
TOTAL bet on any one racer is §500 (up to a maximum of §1,000 for two racers per one race).
NOTE: You can bet on two horses to win, place & show. It does not have to be just one of the three positions, but wagers cannot be made on more than two racers per race.
Cost of Ownership:
§
1,000 to register a new stable (including the first 2 racers)
§ 200 per new racer (after the first 2 for a new stable)
§ 50 to transfer an existing racer between stables
§ 5 for vet inspection per racer (whether healthy or injured)
§ 25 entry fee per racer into the races
