Racer/Stable Transfers:

Racers being transferred from one existing stable to another stable are subject to a §50 transfer fee and must be inspected by one or the other stable before they can race again.  The form for transferring racers between stables and/or owners is located at:  Transfer Form.

While a stable may obtain any number of established racers as transfers at any time, a stable's growth is limited to two additional racers per cycle. Stable total size not to exceed 20 racers maximum. Stables exceeding 20 racers as of Sept 01, 2006 will be grandfathered in. The # of racers allowed for individual stables each season has been adjusted to encourage voluntary reductions to meet the new capacity."

Transfers between stables will not be limited, since those are existing racers and do not create the need for more races; however, newly registered racers will not be eligible for transfer to another stable/owner until they have raced in three races for the original stable/owner they were registered with.  While a stable may obtain any number of established racers as transfers at any time, a stable's growth is limited to two additional racers per cycle. ( For example: XYZ Stable closes and can transfer all six of their horses to ABC Stable. ABC Stable can add two of them to their lineup right away, two the next cycle, and two the following. )

With the Feb/Mar 2008 racing cycle Claiming Races were added to QCC Racing.  In a claiming race the owner of the horse has attached a price to his racer and another may purchase the horse before the actual race, for that price.  Once a horse is presented to the racing commission as a claiming racer there is no rescinding the offer.  The first bid at the stated price owns the racer and the bid must take place before the start of the race.  It is treated as a regular QCC racing transfer and the purchaser pays all  fees.  The existing rules regarding stable growth and transfers apply.
