Registration:
- New stables
are allowed to register
five (5) initial racers
for their first
eligible racing cycle and these racers may be maiden racers or transferred
racers, but a stable may not have more than five (5) racers for
it's first racing cycle. Registering racers after
submitting a Letter of Intent is the responsibility of the stable
owner/manager and
they may be registered
at any time during the 60
day waiting period.
To register racers for
a stable use the Registration
Form
for new racers and the
Transfer Form
for established racers.
-
New
stables are subject to a §1,000 registration fee for up to two
racers upon initial registration. Additional racers may be added at
the time of initial stable registration at a cost of §200 per racer
for new racers
or §50 per racer for
established racers being transferred to that stable.
- New stables have a six
month waiting period beginning
with their
first cycle of racing,
before any additional maiden racers can be added.
- New racers will be allowed to be registered once every
four months, or every
other racing season.
There will be a limit of 2 new racers per stable. Up to an
additional 2 racers will be allowed only if the stable retires the
same number of existing racers.
Stable total size not to exceed 20
racers maximum.
-
Stables exceeding 20 racers as
of Sept 01, 2006 will be grandfathered in. The # of racers allowed for
individual stables each season has been adjusted to encourage voluntary
reductions to meet the new capacity."
- Transfers between
stables will not be limited, since those are existing racers and do not create
the need for more races; however, newly registered racers will not be
eligible for transfer to another stable/owner until they have raced in three
races for the original stable/owner they were registered with.
In addition, although any
number of transfers may be put through at any given time, transferred racers
will not be added to a stable's line-up more than two per cycle.
- Whether by adding new racers every four months, or
adding transferred racers every two months, a stables racing line-up may
increase in total number by no more than two racers every two months.
Stable total size not to exceed 20 racers maximum.
- Boarding stables are
required to register any horses not directly owned by the stable with the
QCC as individual racers, giving the immediate owner's name. Boarding
stables will be authorized to conduct all business for those racers, but the immediate owners
are responsible for attending the races in order to keep their horse(s)
eligible to run.
-
An individual may own and
race up to two (2) racers without having them as part of a registered racing
stable. These racers may be either maiden racers or transferred racers
and the appropriate registration fees would apply. If the owner wishes
to convert to a stable, the previously registered racers count towards the
initial 5 racers a new stable is permitted.
