Establishing a New QCC Racing Stable
Effective September 1,
2006

- Considerations Prior to
Establishment:
- ((Adhering to the
stated aim of the QCC, having story line and role play backing and
foundation to the stable being established is strongly advised.))
- Please be
thoroughly familiar with the rest of the racing guidelines before
establishing a stable, and understand completely the
attendance, inspection, and race entry requirements that must be fulfilled
on a regular basis to keep the stable and it's racers active.
-
A house
may have up to three stables associated with it (either private or house
owned).
-
One
stable per individual as manager and/or owner. The only
exceptions to this
rule will:
A) allow stable owners/managers to be listed as a Representative of
another stable for purposes of attendance; - OR -
B) allow an owner of a private stable to manage one
House-owned stable as well.
-
Only the stable
owner/manager can authorize changes to a stable lineup or conduct vet
inspections. A stable owner/manager may designate Representatives.
-
A
Letter of Intent must be submitted
to the Racing Commission to begin a sixty day waiting period before a new stable
is allowed to submit a race entry and begin racing.
-
New
stables are subject to a §1,000 registration fee for up to two
racers upon initial registration. Additional racers may be added at
the time of initial stable registration at a cost of §200 per racer
for maiden racers
or §50 per racer for
established racers being transferred to that stable.
-
An individual may own
and race up to two (2) racers without having them as part of a registered
racing stable. These racers may be either maiden racers or
transferred racers and the appropriate registration fees would apply.
If the owner wishes to convert to a stable, the previously registered
racers count towards the initial 5 racers a new stable is permitted.
- New stables have a six
month waiting period beginning
with
their first cycle of racing,
before any additional new maiden racers can be added.
While a stable may obtain any number of established racers as transfers at
any time, a stable's growth is limited to two additional racers per cycle
(For example: XYZ Stable closes and can transfer all six of their horses
to ABC Stable. ABC Stable can add two of them to their lineup right away,
two the next cycle, and two the following. ). A new stable may
increase it's stable size by adding transfers in this manner during the 6
month waiting period.
- Establishing a Racing Stable:
- First thing to be done is to submit a
Letter of Intent.
((All fields on the form must be completed, and the stable must have at
least a minimally descriptive webpage established.))
- New stables
are allowed to register
five (5) initial racers
for their first
eligible racing cycle and these racers may be maiden racers or transferred
racers, but a stable may not have more than five (5) racers for
it's first racing cycle. Registering
racers after submitting a Letter of Intent is the responsibility of the stable
owner/manager and
they may be registered
at any time during the 60
day waiting period.
To register racers for
a stable use the Registration
Form for new racers and the
Transfer Form
for established racers.
- Once the Letter of
Intent is received and all is in order, the stable will be listed as a
Pending stable on the list of
Registered Stables, along with the racing cycle where it's racers will first
run.
