Training Manual
[ic and ooc connotations within]

~QCC Disclaimer: The aim of the QCC is to create depth and legitimacy to our roleplay, by making an enjoyable, easy to use and fair monetary system. There are many freedoms within the QCC, limited mainly by ones own imagination. The training manual is created to spur that creativity, and have a common meeting point for the gathering of minds.

========================================

Once your Group has completed the criteria below a check for 20,000 QÇoins and a Certificate of Training will be delivered.

~ Your Group is a member of QÇÇ and has signed an Honor Agreement.

~ You have personally gone over the manual, working out questions, concerns and concept with the QÇC Director and Council and learned how QÇoins works.

~ The QCoin Rep or GC of your group has made a QC Web Site.
This site should include:
1) A list of your guild members and their starting balances
2) A List of opportunities to earn QCoins.
(possibilities listed below, each group free to choose their own)
3) Eventually have merchants design their own pages with their items to sell. See merchant page.

========================================

QCoin Treasurer Duties:
(duties can be shared by 1- 2 people)

QC Treasurer is in charge of accounting for your groups QCoin activity. They are responsible for keeping current balances, which is extremely important during market times. They are to relay information on QCC as it becomes available, and educate new members on its uses within your group. Every QC Treasurer must carry QCCT in their profile.

To make things easier on each QCCT, all e-mail logs must include:
1) Log of the occurrence ( 5 - 10 lines is all that is needed )
- and/or a list of transactions from the Merchant who received the sales (Ex. below)
2) All Parties names involved (especially with wagers and transactions)
3) Final spar scores or financial transaction
4) NO Attached Files Accepted

Any problems or concerns over rules or situations. (ex: cheating, special circumstances) the QCCT contacts the QC Council.

Earning and Spending QCoins: The Possibilities

[Note: These are suggestions only. These are methods that other QCC guilds have used to spur activity and participation in their group. What methods you use are up to you.]

~ SPARRING:

Sparring might carry a 5x total number won by rule for victors [ EX: the final score is 10-6 you, you have +4 point spread, you would earn 20 Qcoins].

- You might consider a cap on the ratio of dice rank in the spar.[ EX: Challenger can go +2/- 2 rank dice meaning a d32 can challenge up to a d36 and down to a d28]

- Suggested: a 5 QCoin awards for experience to the loser.

- Suggested for mass spars:  a flat rate based on the number of combatants in the match, at five coins per combatant beaten. Thus matches would be worth 20-100 Qcoins, with most being 35-50. Per the regular spar suggestions, all other participants could be paid 5 QCoins for the match, including the proctor.

Other recommendations and suggestions, for members to earn QCs from the guild's coffer:

~ RECRUITING:
Recruiting can earn 25 Qcoins for each new member that is recruited. If the member is not accepted then 10 QCoins could be earned.

~HEALINGS & CEREMONIES:
Healers & Priests/Priestess can send in logs of their services performed. GCs can coin this option at their discretion, level of skill and importance

~WAGERS:
Bets can be placed on situations to enhance the excitement. Be sure that people know they have to turn in the win and the names of both parties. Record the stipulations of the bet and the parties involved.

~SALARIES:
Salaries are at the discretion of the GC. They can be given weekly or monthly. They can be awarded by rank or by level of participation of an individual. Bonuses can also be given for aiding in alliance, or other guild related matters. It is recommended inactive members do not get blanket payments, it will burden your treasury.

~ GROUP TOURNAMENTS:
You can charge an entrance fee for events, and give the winnings to the winner. Charging makes the event more valuable and involved to those that have spent their money to join, possibly ensuring more participation.

~ TRADE - IMPORT/EXPORT:
Find other groups to storyline with, using QCoins as transaction means.
Develop shoppes and service that take QCs in payment. **proven to be the most profitable way for an individual to gain Coins. A guild may give all or a percentage of the profits to the merchant, charge tax or give commission. Sales must be recorded and transaction turned in the QCCT's for accurate balances. QCC-wide markets will be held on a regular basis for all QCC groups to participate in and interact, increasing the flow of QCs. We encourage you to run your own as well.
Web Pages are often used for ease of the visual sense, however the ideas are limitless in this area.
1) Group could have a fee that the merchant would pay to attain a booth spot.
2) At the time of the event merchants would go to the market and sell their items.
3) Employees can be hired for the booths by the merchants at an agreed upon wage.
4) Only Customers with QCoins can purchase things.
5) Merchants are responsible for sending in the sales to their QC Rep for credit.

(Example of a guilds merchant e-mail)
1) Merchant SN & guild
2) QCoins transaction amount
3) Customer SN & guild
4) QC Rep of customers Guild
5) A few lines verifying the transaction - easily copied and pasted from main room.

~EDUCATION:
Attending educational classes could merit reward, as could teaching a class to benefit others.

~ TAVERNS:
Anyone opening and maintaining a public room for an extended period of time, upon receiving of proof i.e. a log, could earn a QCoin bonus.

~ STORYLINES:
QCoin bonuses can be awarded to any member the opens up and maintains a tangible SL on a message board. This is GCs discretion as to whether or not the SL is applicable or not.

Suggestions to strengthen your Treasury:

~MARKETS and EVENTS:
Have certain businesses that are owned by the guild's bank. Any purchases made from that business go directly into the treasury, thus available to hand out in bonuses and payments. Charge admission to guild events.

~LAND PURCHASES:
A successful option would be for the GC to offer tracts of available land for sale. A one time charge for mapping, title and land payment would be deposited back into the treasury. This can work in tandem with loans.

~LOANS:
Loans given from the treasury for large purchase, and interest charged. Not only will the QCs be returned, but in a larger proportion than they were given out.

~SERVICES:
Guild services. Charging for merc work outside your own guild, safe passage through your lands, use of guild docks or resources by outside parties within the QCoin system.

~ TAXES or INVESTMENTS:
Taxes on businesses, land, etc would be deposited back into the treasury and available again for payouts. Investments would create a temporary loan back to the treasury..like a savings account, to be collected by the individual at a later date.
