I don't have an AOL SN but I want to RP. Can I be a QCC member?
Yes. The QCC is generally accessible outside of the confines of AOL. Though you will probably at least need an AIM SN to participate in QCC activities, it is not required.
All we require is an accounting page that is kept current and the desire to RP. Many of our members have web story boards; and with access to non-AOL IMs and chat rooms, you can RP anywhere you wish and be a QCC member. Just be aware of the fact that QCC activities usually are held in AIM chat rooms and there may be occasional events run by our members that are accessible only through AOL rooms. It is becoming more and more rare, but it still happens.
I don't want to be a merchant. What else is there for me to do in the QCC?
Being in the QCC isn't about being a merchant. It is simply a platform to support your RP. Being a merchant or a customer is one way to promote and initiate RP. The QCC also supports many others. The monthly Racing and Markets events provide a neutral place to mingle and interact with other characters. The QCC also supports general SLs and member hosted events which include wars and tournaments.
I don't know who to send this request/application/registration to.
First, check the handy Quick Reference Guide. Most of what you'll need, you can find there quickly.
It is so important that all QCC mail goes to all the Council members. The Council members all maintain and update aspects of the Coalition. Many times these duties overlap, and they are shifting almost constantly. It is impossible for us to keep you informed on who handles what because that will change before the week is out.
That is why it is critical that all QCC mail gets sent to all the Council members. We know what we're handling today and we don't want your request, registration, or inquiry to fall through the cracks or be delayed.

I had QC from my last guild. Can I keep it when I change guilds?
Once the Main Bank disburses QC to your guild, how your guild pays you is up to them. If your guild paid you and you had a balance in their treasury, then you *should* be able to take it with you to your next guild. The QCC Council cannot *make* your old guild transfer the QC to your new guild, but most people are reasonable and will let you take what you earned with you.
In matters of dispute, the QCC Council can act as a mediator between you and your old guild if you wish it.
How can the Council let people have some of the offensive businesses that they have in the QCC?
The Council does not police what sort of shops people run in the QCC. If you find a shop offensive, don't shop there. Think of the QCC like the US Treasury department. The Treasury prints the money, but has no control over what people spend it on. If someone wants to open an Adult Bookstore and accept US dollars as currency for their transactions, there isn't anything the Treasury can do to stop them. The Council would try to dissuade a person or group from launching a business that will spark controversy for all involved; but in the end, the QCC cannot police what shops accept QC as legal tender. As long as they have treasury pages that are available for us to verify the transactions and validate the QCoins, that is as far as our authority goes.
If I leave the QCC, is my QC still good?
No. Only QC that can be verified and documented is valid for transactions. Once you leave the QCC, you no longer offer a treasury page for the Council to verify and document your transactions. If the Council can't verify it, then it is not valid for transactions.
If, on the other hand, you maintain a treasury page for the Council to verify your totals, then you haven't really left the QCC. You've just chosen to make yourself inactive within the Coalition. That's fine. There are no participation requirements to stay in the QCC. As long as you maintain a treasury page viewable and verifiable by the Council, your QCoins are valid.
I was a member of a guild that folded. I had QC before they dissolved. Can I keep it?
If you have or can find some sort of QCC documentation that shows how much you had before they folded, then yes, you can keep it providing that you are a member of the QCC now or are willing to become a member. The Council can work with you in finding this evidence and documenting it for your new treasurer once found.
I received QC as an award in an event, but I'm not a QCC member. Can I still spend it?
Yes. Present the award letter to the QCC merchant you wish to do business with and copy all transactions to the Council members.
The QCC Council is working to create a system by which event hosts can issue QC certificates in their events to non QCC participants. These might be thought of as gift certificates. In the case of these certificates, the Council itself would be issuing these through the event hosts and tracking them to maintain validity. There would be restrictions. The certificates could be used for purchases from QCC merchants, but not to place bets at the QCC race track and not to enter stables in the racing commission.
